Minutes of Meeting – Tuesday 5th March 2024 – 8pm at the Crown, Goostrey Present approx 10 members including the committee Apologies: Nikki Phillips, Chairman’s Report – Joy chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone • The minutes from the 25th September 2023 were approved • Hoping to run camp later in the year, possibly sharing with another group • Aim for a Silverdale ride this year • XC technique this Saturday at somerford is fully booked • Bridleway gate at Brereton Park being investigated as it is very difficult to open • The surface on the Ollerton Bridlepath is now good. BBA will now contribute to the cost • Brereton Heath Park is now too deep to get through and there is a fallen tree – will be investigated further • Potential venues for AGM – Three greyhounds / Woodside golf club. Optional buffet trying to get speaker from Peak district guided Ride. Aim for 13th or 14th May • Dressage in January did not run due to lack of entries. Treasurer’s report – Maggie Marincovic In the bank: £21,385.68 We are still looking for ideas to spend some of this money on improving Bridleways Membership – Katie Newport Memberships are starting to come in now – will put reminders on facebook and the website Social Report – Pat Guerin Lessons XC full SJ re-starting at Alsager on 9th April Flatwork – Monday at Alsager once the clocks change – Drill riding (Pam), polework AOB Cheshire Rights of Way meeting is on 13th March – will mention Brereton Heath and Brereton Park A date for dog agility will be identified Staffordshire 289 applications not reviewed for around 20 years and there are 149 new ones. They are still not making any progress. Meetings are very ineffective with relevant information not been presented Next meeting: Will be at the AGM May – date to be confirmed
